Englishman James Anderson discusses his renowned career with Nasser Hussain when he becomes the most tested cricket of all time in the country.

James Anderson will be celebrating England’s most test cricket this week as he plays in the second test against New Zealand at Edgbaston.

Speaking to his former captain, Nasser Hussain – who gave him his first test capsule in 2003 – Anderson, 38, said he still loves the game and wants to continue even longer.

It’s been an incredible journey I’ve taken over the last 18 years.

“I remember my beginnings as clearly as anything else – and then there were great memories during that time. I can’t believe I got to where I am today. “

I was very insecure as a child, I grew up. I had a lot of doubts.

Definitely at the beginning of my career I had some pretty scary captains! And I didn’t want to betray them by playing a bad bouncer on my feet, so I kept it hidden for a long time.

As long as I have this joy and hunger to heal constantly, I will continue to do so. And as long as my body clings to it touching the wood for now, so will it.
