Meet the information
A total of eight current or former North Dakota State University athletes will compete in U.S. Olympic team trials in Eugene, Ore, over the next two weeks.

Each athlete will compete for U.S. national titles and places on the U.S. team at the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. The top three in each event at the U.S. Olympics will qualify for the Olympics if they have met the Olympic qualifying standard for that event during the qualifying period. If there are unfilled seats at a post-Olympic event, the athlete can still qualify based on the world athletics class.
Dolezal has represented U.S. teams in javelin throwing three times at the IAAF World Cup. Hailing from Stanley, ND, and volunteer assistant coach on Bison’s athletics team, Dolezal was a member of the U.S. team in 2013 (Moscow, Russia), 2015 (Beijing, China) and 2019 (Doha, Qatar).
Dolezal has been ranked at the top of the USATF Championships in the top three for seven consecutive years in 2013-19, capturing American Titles in 2013 and 2017. He competed in NDSU from 2005-2009.
Otterdahl became an NDSU volunteer assistant coach after completing his NCAA career in 2019 as the first four-time All-American team and the 2019 NCAA inland championship in ball and weightlifting.
This year, Otterdahl ranks 11th in the world outdoors, and Dolezal is spearhead No. 37 on the world list.
