Tourism to space is getting closer and more voluptuous. Blue origin will be on one of the first trips next month to be manned by untrained civilians, but unlike the short flight that Jeff Bezos’ company will perform Space perspective will provide a much more comfortable experience while traveling in a hot air balloon room.
It will be a… pressurized cabin as big as a football stadium with a 360 degree panoramic view. Each capsule on the ship will accommodate eight, but there will be a bar and toilets in a common area. It will also have wifi , which allows a live broadcast of the journey.
Passengers will board at the Florida Kennedy Space Center and rise high enough to see the curvature of the earth. It is estimated that the journey will take about 6 hours and the passengers require no special equipment or training.
The Neptune One spacecraft will be the one that will make the flight at the end of 2024. On June 18, it had a successful crewless test flight in which a route similar to that which would take tourists out of space. All SpacePerspective commercial flights have a pilot on board the spacecraft.
The founders of the company, Taber MacCallum and Jane Poynter, want to expand access to space and devote resources to researching how to improve life on our planet.
