The rapper took to her Twitter account after social media was inundated with comments about her body following her appearance on the red carpet at the 2021 BET Awards.

Coi Leray applauds his enemies. The rapper took to social media to denounce criticism of her petite stature, writing: Is it a sin to be thin?

Celebrities are constantly subjected to the public’s opinions about them, especially when it comes to their bodies. The one place celebrities receive the most criticism is the red carpet, where rapper Leray met on Sunday night.

While attending the 2021 BET Awards, the rapper walked the red carpet in a revealing orange and black ensemble. While she certainly rocked it, some fans seemed to challenge the rappers’ small cadre on social media.

The rapper took to Twitter to immediately call out some of her enemies. She wrote in a tweet, My body is always trending. I do not understand. She then wrote: Is there a certain way that I’m supposed to look? Help me to understand.

In her last tweet referring to her detractors, she wrote: In the Bible, is it a sin to be thin? Help me to understand. Fortunately, she has many supporters and fans by her side who cheer her on. One user wrote: People are so hateful, mean and hypocritical! You are absolutely beautiful the way you are.

Another fan, sharing similar sentiments, wrote, Nah baby, coming from one thin woman to another, YOU are beautiful the way you are. GOD made you, be proud of who you are and ignore those who would like to have your trust.

Leray shared a photo of his time on the BET Awards red carpet with boyfriend Pressa on Instagram. In the caption, she shared her gratitude for being able to attend the star-studded event.

She wrote: Congratulations to all the nominees and winners. Blessed to be away from history and most of all, big thanks to @queenlatifah. You are a great source of inspiration and I would like to congratulate you on your award for all of your achievements. I witnessed part of the story yesterday and am grateful for these blessings.

Leray was also nominated for Best New Artist at the ceremony. She shared in a red carpet interview, I knew this time was coming, I just didn’t know when, you know? She continued: I want everyone to know that hard work pays and patience is a virtue.
