Cricket-Langer has addressed the concerns of her coaching style

(Reuters) – Justin Langer has addressed players ’concerns about his coaching style“ head on ”and has full support for the Australian team, restricted troops captain Aaron Finch said Thursday.

Reports of locker room unrest came after India, wounded by an injury, defeated Australia at home 2-1.

The players took part in the end-of-season review, according to lead consultant Tim Ford and Finch, that Langer had cleaned the air before the flight with the team to the West Indies.

“I think‘ JL ’addressed some of the issues raised in Tim Ford’s review, I thought it was great,” Finch said of St Lucia.

“No doubt it confronted him at the time, but he took it forward and dealt with it.

“He has done a great job, and the way he faced it – and the way the players received it – was excellent.

“It shows the quality of the man he is – (there are) things he’s working on, and we’re all behind him.”

Langer had described the situation as a “wake-up call,” and Finch said the stress of playing cricket in biosafety “bubbles” had even more complex things.

“There was a combination of a few things,” Finch said.

“Behind a lot of bubbles, he could have used his assistants a little better and delegated a little more.”

Michael Di Venuto and Jeff Vaughan were appointed assistant coaches for the team on Thursday before a busy summer that includes the Twenty20 World Cup, the title avoided in Australia and the Ashes series against England.

Australia will play five Twenty20 matches against the West Indies in St Lucia from July 10 before moving to Barbados to play three one-day international matches.
