Why the buffet dress is a ‘pretty glamorous’ wardrobe staple this summer

It used to be called wafty dress, effortless dress, tent dress and many more (one of my friends called it the Jesus dress), but the buffet is the most extraordinary, isn’t it? And even though I’ve had many styles of these skirts, now that they’ve had an exotic rebranding, they’re finding it interesting again. Another day in a marquee dress? Boredom can occur. All day in a buffet dress? Now that sounds very indulgent.

If you don’t know exactly what I’m talking about, the main characteristic of a buffet dress is that there is room to move, no belts, no cinching, just easy breezing. You can smuggle a beach ball or a belly full of croissants or pasta under it and neither is the wiser. Most of the buffet dresses also come with thick sleeves, so they are comfortable on the sleeves as well as the waist.
