Racker has announced the return of Racker Rivals Big Red on August 14th. It’s a passionate show-style hockey game that brings together NHL stars, Cornell hockey alumni and local celebrities to support programs for children with disabilities in our community.
Racker Rivals Big Red is now in its eighth year and is bigger than ever, with a strong list of current and former NHL players and hockey legends ready to return to the ice. Already on the list are: Dustin Brown, two-time Stanley Cup winner and current NHL player with the Los Angeles Kings, Cornell hockey alumni and current AHL player Anthony Angello, current Tampa Bay Lightning defender and striker Daniel Walcott, Stanley Cup winner and US Hockey Hall of Famer Mike Richter and three-time Stanley Cup winner, two-time Olympics and fan favorite Joe Nieuwendyk.
Racker Rivals Big Red brings together two talented hockey teams, led by Cornells Big Red Hockey coach Mike Schafer and Tompkins Trust Company CEO Greg Hartz. Like and follow Rackers ’Facebook page for up-to-date listings. Both teams will continue to add a list of already impressive teams until the game.
