Ottawa Public Health (OPH) reported five more cases of COVID-19 on Saturday. No new deaths have been confirmed.
There are 23 known active cases.
The town’s deputy medical officer of health, Dr Brent Moloughney, says it is always important to stay one step ahead of the virus following public health guidelines and getting vaccinated, indicating increase in cases and hospitalizations elsewhere.
Figures to watch
0.1%: The rate of COVID-19 tests coming back positive. Of the hundreds of residents outside long-term care homes who were tested on July 10 and 14, none tested positive.
