Nasdaq Inc. faces an antitrust lawsuit from Miami International Securities Exchange, alleging that the tech-preferred stock market is using mock patent litigation to maintain dominance.
Armed with its fraudulent patents and the technology it has acquired through numerous acquisitions, Nasdaq has for many years gained an ill-gotten, dominant position in the market for high-value electronic trading systems, according to the complaint, filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware by Miami-based exchange parent company Miami International Holdings Inc. and other affiliates.
