As a Barclays Senior Business Analyst in Risk, Finance and Treasury you coordinate, plan and perform analysis tasks for one or more components of a program and/or transaction cycle business process and/or specialist applications. You will be part of a team that acts as a reviewer and quality gateway for analysis output to tackle the root and deliver the right design for user requirements.

What are you going to do?
Formulating and presenting effective requirements proposals within a project or initiative
Facing one or more business areas/SME’s and understanding the high level requirements
Discovering, validating and documenting business requirements in business requirements documents or user/feature stories, depending on the change methodology used by the development teams
Participate in the design process coordinated by the program management team from design approval to functional design completion
Own the delivery of assigned work and bring it to successful completion and proactively engage with stakeholders
Develop or oversee test plans, test strategies and test cases to manage application testing
Liaise with Technology for reported defects and resolve them until closure

What were looking for:
Experience in preparing and issuing a range of key business analytics outcomes in medium to large change initiatives
Good written and oral communication including documentation, strong numerical and analytical with strong problem-solving skills
Important team player who contributes outside his or her assignment and is able to work in a virtual team
Good understanding of project delivery methodologies, including the software development lifecycle and the role of the business analyst in these contexts

Skills that will help you in the role:
Experience working with Risk, Finance and Treasury and exposure to regulatory reporting systems would be an advantage;
Basic knowledge of major asset classes and associated trading and instrument attributes
Proficient in using Microsoft Office products and other software packages relevant to BA work, e.g. Excel, Macros, Visio, SQL
Business analytics accreditation(s) would be helpful
