Stock Update: Nifty Auto Index Drops 1.07%

Shares of TVS Motor Company (+7.41 percent), Bajaj Auto (+1.64 percent), Bharat Forge (+0.68 percent), Amara Raja Batteries (+0.54 percent) and TIINDIA (+0.34 percent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Tata Motors (-3.37 percent), Maruti Suzuki (-2.2%), Eicher Motors (-1.91 percent), Exide Industries (-1.84 percent) and Ashok Leyland (-1 .31 percent). as the biggest losers of the day.

The Nifty Auto Index closed 1.07 percent lower at 11433.95.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended 63.2 points lower at 18114.9, while the BSE Sensex fell 101.88 points at 60821.62.

Of the 50 stocks in the Nifty Index, 16 finished in the green and 33 in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Rail Vikas Nigam, Federal Bank, Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd. and PNB were among the most traded stocks on the NSE.

Shares of DK Enterprises Global Ltd., 3i Infotech, IRB Infra Dev., Rail Vikas Nigam and Paras Defense and Space Technologies Ltd. hit their new record in 52 weeks in today’s trading as Stylam Ind, Biocon, Destiny Logistics & Infra Ltd. , SREI Infra Fin and Sansera Engineering Ltd. reached their new low in 52 weeks.
