Recently there has been some great good news going around in New York! We’ve all heard about the New York State Covid-19 Pandemic Small Recovery Grant Program. This was established to provide flexible grants to the companies that ran into financial difficulties during the pandemic. But what’s new about this? Because now the amount has been increased to $10,000 this time! But before you apply, some aspects of this grant should be acknowledged to make the process easier for you. Do you qualify for this?

Before applying for this scholarship, find out if you are eligible. First, and of course, your business must be located in New York City. The companies can be anything. You can have your shop or be a real estate agent, mechanic, plumber or even if you use your car as an Uber service you qualify. Also, the authority has a designated map that marks New York’s low-income area. If your business organization falls under that card, no doubt you will get this grant no matter what business you have. However, suppose you own a restaurant, hotel, theater or any other type of entertainment business. Then you are eligible for this, even if your company does not fall under the low income category. But the most important thing to remember is that your income must be reduced by 25% and you must have valid documents to prove that. Otherwise it’s a tough decision!

How can you use this money?

This money can be used for your business rent, utilities, operating expenses, or whatever payment you have on a daily basis. Most importantly, you don’t have to return it. So you are free to even invest back into your business without worrying about giving it back.
