Stock Market Update: Nifty Pharma Index Drops 0.62%

Shares of Granules India (+4.44 percent), Divis Laboratories (+0.58 percent), Ipca Laboratories (+0.23 percent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals (+0.16 percent) and Natco Pharma (+0.11 percent ) ended the day as toppers in the peloton.

On the other hand, Biocon (3.39 percent), Aurobindo Pharma (-3.13 percent), Alkem Laboratories (-1.96 percent), Cadila Healthcare (-1.15 percent) and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals (-1.02 per cent). the biggest losers of the day.

The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.62 percent lower at 13964.15.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index finished 2.05 points lower at 18255.75, while the BSE Sensex fell 12.27 points at 61223.03.

Of the 50 stocks in the Nifty Index, 21 finished in the green and 28 in the red.

Shares of JP Power, Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, YES Bank and HFCL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Coastal Corp, Ruby Mills, Coffee Day Ent, Manaksia Steels and Guj Mineral Dev. hit their new 52-week highs in today’s trading, while Dilip Buildcon, Gillette India and PayTM hit their new 52-week lows.
