Get to know the companies | College of Business Administration

Every year, the College of Business Accounting Department organizes a “Get to know the companies” event to provide the opportunity for sophomore, Junior, Senior and MSA meet accounting students and employers. This year there will be an “in-person” event and a “virtual” event. Students can attend both in-person and virtual events.

The personal event will be held on Wed Sept 8 2021, 6-8pm at Harvey Hall next to Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium. 14 employers will be on hand to discuss internships and full-time jobs.

The virtual event will be held on Thu 9 Sept. 2021 from 5.30pm – 7.30pm and will be 30 minute sessions with 5 employers (5:30 PM NC Office of the State Auditor; 6:00 PM Virginia Auditor of Public Records; 6:30 PM CohnReznick CPA Firm; 7:00 PM Hall CPA Firm; 7:30 PM US Army audit agency). Students can attend any or all of the virtual events.

To participate in both events, ALL students must respond online (form below). In addition, to include a student profile in the booklet that will be provided to participating employers, students must submit the required information (and head-shot) until Tuesday, August 31 at 5 p.m. Registration for Meet the Firms is closed.

In recent years, we have offered students the opportunity to have a professional headshot taken on campus. This year, however, we are unable to make that service available to you. When completing the online form, you must submit a portrait photo in professional attire. Label the photo file with your name – JPG or PNG files are preferred. This information will be made available to all companies so that they can identify themselves.
