: Indian equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty50 struggled within a narrow range around the flatline in a choppy session on Wednesday, despite strength across global markets amid easing Russia-Ukraine tensions. Gains in oil & gas, pharma and auto stocks were countered by losses in select financial shares. Broader markets held on to initial gains after a strong start. The Nifty Midcap 100 index was up half a percent in morning deals and its smallcap counterpart up 1.5 percent. Vedant Fashions shares made a strong debut in the secondary market.
