Ljubljana stock exchange indices return to green territory

LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), April 19 (SeeNews) – The two stock indices on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) closed higher on Tuesday, the first trading way of the week, after recording a four-day losing streak, bourse data showed.

The blue-chip SBITOP index edged up 0.24% to 1,172.75 points on Tuesday. The SBITOP TR index, which also tracks dividend distribution, rose at the same pace, 0.24%, to end at 1,378.42 points, LJSE data showed.

Fuel and petroleum retailer Petrol [LJE:PETG] and drug maker Krka [LJE:KRKG] the most among the members of the gained indices, with shares rising 1.13% and 1.12%, respectively. Petrol’s shares closed at 536 euros on Tuesday, while Krka’s closing price was 90 euros.

The pharmaceutical company was also the most liquid company on the bourse on Tuesday, generating a turnover of 562,561 euros ($607,500)

Reinsurer Pozavarovalnica Savac [LJE:POSR] paced the losers of the blue chips, as its shares lost 1.79% and closed at 27.50 euros.

The bourse’s daily trading turnover came in at 1.2 million euros on Tuesday, down from 2 million euros generated on April 14, the previous trading day.

The bourse was closed on April 15 and April 18 during the Easter holidays.
