Indices: Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 1.2%

Shares of Phoenix Mills(up 1.34 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Godrej Properties(down 4.24 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(down 1.72 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 1.33 per cent), DLF(down 0.85 per cent) and Macrotech Developers(down 0.71 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty Realty index closed 1.2 per cent down at 400.45.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 276.3 points at 16201.8, while the BSE Sensex stood down 1016.84 points at 54303.44.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 16 ended in the green, while 34 closed in the red.

Shares of , , , Zomato Ltd. and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of

, , , KPI Global Infra and Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while , , Tembo Global Indust, and Kaya hit their fresh 52-week lows.
