Ljubljana stock exchange indices snap 4-day losing streak

LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), August 26 (SeeNews) – The two stock indices on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) fell for a fourth consecutive trading session on Friday, bourse data showed.

The blue-chip SBITOP index declined 0.87% to 1,145.17 points, whereas the SBITOP TR index, which also tracks dividend distribution, fell 0.83% to 1,426.22 points, LJSE data showed.

Energy group Petrol [LJE:PETG] declined the most among the blue chips, as its shares went down 2.68% to 472 euros. Petrol also generated the highest single trading turnover on the bourse on Friday – of 305,733 euros ($307,700).

Chemicals producer Cinkarna Celje [LJE:CICG] paced the gainers, with shares adding 0.71% to 28.40 euros.

LJSE’s total turnover dropped to 797,943 euros on Friday from 1.3 million euros on Thursday.
