Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The Business Analyst is responsible for a variety of tasks for the Student Financial Services & Cashiering (SFSC) senior management team including operational business process analyses, student account management, tuition and fee assessment, and data retrieval with appropriate analysis. Development and maintenance of business reports including the fulfillment of ad hoc requests, and primary involvement in projects and documentation related to the University Workday solution implementations.

The position reports to the Assistant Director, SFSC and will play an integral role in planning and implementation of Workday Student.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors Degree in business, computer science, information science or related field.

Experience:

  • 2 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with data visualization packages.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • A functional understanding of business process flows, Lucid charts or other equivalent charting tools, experience with materialized views (Oracle), complex queries (SQL), and data warehouse manipulation.
  • Adept with technical analysis and solutions based problem-solving.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience analyzing business processes, documenting procedures, and developing reports.
Preferences:

Preferences:

  • Experience with large system implementations and/or projects.
  • Experience with Workday or general cloud computing.
  • Professional exposure in a Higher Education Setting.
Additional Certifications: Additional Information:

Target Hiring Range: $60,320 $75,400. The salary will be commensurate to the experience level of the candidate.

Job Risks Not Applicable to This Position Physical Demands

Normal office environment with extensive computer use. Must be able to clearly read computer screen, and type, for extended periods. Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling common office items such as supplies, files and documented materials.
