Equity futures ticked lower Tuesday evening as traders weighed in on the latest round of earnings.

Futures linked to the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 47 points, or 0.1%, while S&P 500 futures fell 0.1%. Nasdaq 100 futures down 0.1%.

The overnight action follows a day of choppy trading. Tuesday has the S&P 500 ticked higher by 0.09%, while the Dow lost 0.03% or 10.55 points. The Nasdaq composite closed slightly lower at 0.04%.

The first earnings season since the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank has captured most of Wall Street’s attention bank of America And Goldman Sachs among the names reporting quarterly results on Tuesday.

“The market continues to show resilience amid a sense of relief that the recent banking crisis has not led to a broader systemic failure, which was bolstered by better-than-expected Q1/23 earnings at the largest bank,” said analyst Canaccord Genuity. Tony Dwyer said in a note Tuesday

On the tech front, streaming giant Netflix disappointed investors after delaying plans to tighten up on password sharing. In the last quarter, the company beat analysts’ earnings per share expectations, but fell short of revenue estimates.

While earnings are a top priority for investors, macroeconomic headwinds are looming, including the Federal Reserve’s rate hike trajectory.

Looking ahead, Morgan Stanley will release its latest quarterly results Wednesday morning, while electric car giant Tesla reports after the closing bell. KeyCorp, American Express and AT&T will report results Thursday morning.
