Purdue University students will commemorate their success and be recognized for their continued pursuit at the Spring 2023 commencement ceremonies Friday through Sunday (May 12-14). Mung Chiang, who became Purdue’s 13th president in January, will address students at the spring ceremonies for the first time this year.

Melissa Burdi, the vice president and dean of the Purdue Global School of Nursing, addresses the recently announced recommendation that women should get screening mammograms starting at age 40. For women over age 40 who have not yet had a mammogram, Burdi recommends making an appointment with a healthcare provider.

Purdue’s computer science program, launched as the first ever in 1963, is the largest and most selective undergraduate program on Purdue’s campus. The Purdue Computes initiative will deliver critical strategic investments for faculty hiring, artificial intelligence research and semiconductor facility upgrades. The goal: to ensure that the computer science program is consistently in the top 10 in the US by the end of the decade.
