Suitability:

To be eligible, a student must be a resident of Massachusetts OR currently attending a Massachusetts educational institution. To be eligible, MBAA requires that the student meet one of the following criteria:

• Enrolled in an aviation-related undergraduate program with rising sophomore status or above
  
• Enrolled in an aviation-related graduate program
  
• Enrolled in an FAA-approved flight school pursuing an ATP or Flight Instructor certificate
  
• Enrolled in an FAA part 147 certified A&P school with a minimum of 800 completed clock hours
  
• Enrolled in a Cabin Attendant course
• Minimum GPA of 3.2 (if applicable)
  

The applicant must be currently an enrolled student in the upcoming fall semester. Scholarship application evaluation will be fully benchmarked based on merit. Special consideration will be given to students with prior business aviation experience and/or those considering a career in the industry.

The scholarship funds are paid directly to the institution and may only be used for tuition, books, fees and training costs.

• Massachusetts Business Aviation Association Scholarship Application (see below)
• A copy of the applicant’s university transcript or accredited flight/maintenance school records
• A copy of the applicant’s Airmans certificate (if applicable)
• Copy of applicant’s driver’s license or passport
• Personal essay. Please emphasize your interest in pursuing a career in corporate aviation.
• CV
• At least one letter of recommendation from a person who can speak to your achievements and/or interest in aviation.

The 2023 MBAA scholarship application deadline has passed. Applications for 2024 will be accepted early next year.
