More beach time! SEA Airport welcomes new international service to Nassau, Bahamas from Alaska Airlines

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) welcomes Alaska Airlines’ new international service to Nassau, Bahamas (NAS), adding another sunny and fun winter destination to Puget Sound travelers. Seasonal service begins December 15 and runs through April 10.

“SEA welcomes another dynamic, sunny winter destination, the first time Nassau is served with nonstop service from Seattle,” said Lance Lyttle, Managing Director, SEA Airport. “Alaska Airlines offers that opportunity for fun and sun to go with destinations from Mexico to Hawaii choices that travelers in Seattle are sure to love!”

We are excited to add new international service at our hometown airport with convenient, non-stop service to the Bahamas this winter, our first time serving the Caribbean from Seattle, said Kirsten Amrine, vice president of revenue management and network planning for Alaska Airlines. Whether our guests choose to stay in Nassau or head to the Outer Islands, the pristine beaches and crystal clear waters of the Bahamas await.

Nassau will be a pre-clearance destination for returning SEA travelers, such as Dublin. This means that travelers are cleared through customs in the departing city, and not upon arrival at SEA. Other pre-clearing cities arriving in SEA include all Canadian cities except Victoria and Kelowna.

Flight details

The new flights depart three times a week on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

International service at SEA

The Alaska route is the third new international service to be announced in 2023, following WestJet to Edmonton (launched May) and Tahiti Nui service to Paris (launched June 13). In 2022, SEA added four brand new international services: Turkish Airlines to Istanbul, Air Canada to Montreal, Finnair to Helsinki and Air Tahiti Nui to Tahiti. A total of 45 international services are currently in operation at SEA, with non-stop flights to 29 unique international destinations with 25 airlines.
