Simon & Schuster, a division of Paramount Global, is seeking a Partnership Development Manager to grow the highly successful Pimsleur language learning subscriptions. The Partnership Development Manager brings experience leading efforts to create lasting business partnerships to grow digital subscriptions.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of prospecting, negotiating and executing partnership promotions to drive subscriber acquisition and value-added revenue streams to a subscription business. Experience in negotiating deal points, contracts and setting up/fulfilling offers. Experience in creating marketing partnerships to drive direct sales to consumers is essential.
Responsibilities include:
Identify potential business partners in relevant industries including language learning, travel, hospitality, e-commerce, digital publishing and Ed technology to successfully drive new language learning subscriptions.
Work with Pimsleur management and S&S Legal to negotiate partner contracts, deal points and sales metrics.
Develop and track relevant KPIs including click-throughs and conversions to track partner performance.
Contribute to forecasts and financial models related to potential sales.
Deliver on expected new subscriptions start quotas. Act as project lead and work with marketing, ecom and development teams to execute subscription offerings on partner sites and apps.
Explore international expansion through subscription partnerships or licensee opportunities.
Identify and recommend potential partners to add value to the Pimsleur Language program product, for upsells and added revenue streams.
Required Skills:
5 years in digital business development.
Self-starter with a strong track record of developing or managing partnerships to drive sales.
Experience/understanding of subscription conversion funnels, Google Analytics and KPI reporting.
Experience with A/B testing, digital campaign optimization and insight into metrics that drive growth.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in remote locations.
Ability to lead digital cross-functional team projects including marketing, developers and product management.
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Background in mobile app market, digital publishing or paid content sales is preferred.
Interest in language learning is a plus.
Please note that this role can be based in New York City or Concord MA in a hybrid fashion. Remote candidates are among the possibilities.

The annual salary for this position is $100,000.00 – $115,000.00
The salary range for hiring this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington State and most other regions. The starting salary for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demand, experience, training and education. Available benefits for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise provided by the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
