Canadian rapper Haviah Mighty shared a video for Protest, a new track featuring London grime artist Yizzy. The visual is directed by Kit Weyman and Chris Lowe. Check it out below.

Haviah Mighty shared a statement about the job:

This song is my protesta reminder that regardless of all the talk, the chatter, the media, the judges and injustices, this feeling and fear we walk with is as present as ever. After all these years, the encounter with the police as a marginalized still evokes pure fear. These feelings within the production, the intensity and depth of the chords, the stress and strain of the tempo, all reflect the feelings of paranoia, fear, control and our innate will to survive when confronted by law enforcement. If UK-based artist Yizzy blesses this record, it’s come full circle. From a light-skinned male perspective, elsewhere in the world, our experiences still mirror each other, further proof of the uncanny similarities of trauma among black people.
