IRVING, Texas (Gray News) — Everyone knows that celebrating your birthday month is more fun than just celebrating the day, which is exactly what 7-Eleven plans to do this year.
The iconic brand plans to celebrate all of July to mark its 94th birthday, insisting on giving gifts rather than receiving them.
From July 1, 7-Eleven will offer a free small Slurpee for everyone 7Rewards members and is redeemable throughout the month.
7Eleven’s anniversary falls right in the middle of Brainfreeze SZN, said Marissa Jarratt, 7Eleven’s Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. Or as some call it, summer. Either way, it’s a perfect time for an ice-cold drink and we like to celebrate with Slurpee drinks, our favorite 7Eleven memories, experiences and a month-long party.
In addition, the company plans to provide 1 million meals to: feeding America, the largest domestic hunger relief agency in the United States.
As we celebrated our anniversary month, we are also aware that the COVID-19 pandemic has had a lasting impact on many families, Jarratt said. We know the importance of coming together and helping the communities we serve in times of need. Our commitment to provide 1 million meals this year and in 2020, along with our Round Up for Rewards program this winter, makes for an impressive year.
7-Eleven is offering other deals to unwrap as part of its birthday promotions. All roller grill items, such as hot dogs, taquitos, and cheeseburger bites, are just $1 or get a whole pizza for $5.
Members of the 7Rewards loyalty app will also be able to get a donut and birthday cake for 50 cents at participating stores on July 11.
