Construction begins on the $20 million, $55 million Imperial Dade logistics center. to hire

Construction begins on a $20 million logistics hub in Baldwin County, which will create 55 new jobs.

Governor Kay Ivey was in Loxley today to celebrate the groundbreaking project for Imperial Dade, a distributor of food packaging and cleaning supplies.

The 220,000-square-foot building is being developed by I-10 Gulf Coast Logistics Center and will be the first Class-A industrial facility to be built in Baldwin County. Imperial Dade is moving from its existing location in Loxley.

The company says the new hub will provide easy access to the Gulf Coast market and the Port of Mobile.

Imperial Dades’ expansion proves what we already knew is increasing job growth on Alabama’s Gulf Coast, Ivey said. Through these types of investments, we remain the leader of the Southeast by providing first-class opportunities to the citizens of our state and ensuring that anyone who wants a job can find one.

The center will be close to ALDI’s new $100 million regional headquarters and distribution center, which opened earlier this year.

Loxley is the ideal location for our new logistics hub, enabling us to expand our business in this very important region, said Robert Tillis, CEO of Imperial Dade.
