How To Buy Google, Apple Shares In India

[ad_1]

US stock markets, especially the major technology giants or so-called FAANG stocks, such as Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Netflix and Google, have sparked interest from Indian investors as they emerge to seize investment opportunities outside of domestic markets. Given the increased interest, many online investment platforms have begun offering integrated platforms for domestic, global equities, mutual funds for trading stocks, and publicly traded ETFs on the leading US stock markets.

Platforms that offer investing in US stock markets

Stockal is known to allow investors from India and the Middle East to invest in US publicly traded companies. The global investment platform also has affiliations with many Indian digital securities brokerage platforms and mutual funds to offer such services.

Recently, the digital wealth management service Scripbox, which already offers US equity-based mutual funds on its platform, announced that it is partnering with Stockal to enable direct US equity investments on its platform. The new service allows users to invest in shares of leading global companies listed on US stock exchanges, along with index exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

Last year, securities firm Emkay Global Financial Services also joined Stockal to help its clients invest in US-listed stocks and securities.

Fintech firm Cube Wealth and Stockal also entered into a similar partnership in November 2019. Online investment fund and stock exchange platform Kuvera also offers such services on its app in collaboration with the US SEC-registered financial advisor Vested.

International/Global Mutual Funds are also a popular source for investors to gain exposure to foreign companies and economies as it invests in equities, equity-related instruments and debt securities of entities listed outside India that many Indian asset management companies (AMCs) offer. Some global funds invest in both domestic and international markets, some in certain themes, while some fall under this category.

Under the Reserve Bank of India’s Liberalized Remittance Scheme (LRS), Indians can invest up to $250,000 in global stocks and bonds in a year.
