The City of Palo Alto will begin hybrid in-person and virtual city council meetings on Monday, November 1.
To participate in person, you must:
Provide proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test (within 48 hours) Wear a mask at all times Maintain social distancing If you are unable or unwilling to comply, you can participate virtually
The City of Palo Alto will begin virtual and in-person hybrid city council meetings on Monday, November 1, 2021. Hybrid meetings provide the public with the ability to attend virtually / remotely using Zoom or in person at City Hall. The new hybrid-style meetings will take place in the City Hall Council Chamber, and proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be required. Evidence of a recent negative COVID-19 test result within 48 hours will be accepted as an alternative to COVID-19 vaccination for admission to the Board meeting.
Additionally, everyone will be required to meet the Santa Clara County Public Health Mask Requirements by wearing a mask or face covering indoors, including in bedrooms or anywhere in the area. ‘city Hall. Room occupancy in the rooms will be limited to allow adequate physical distance as an enhanced precautionary measure against COVID-19. City Hall HVAC system operations have been upgraded in accordance with CDC recommendations, and additional HEPA filtration will be provided in bedrooms to further improve indoor air quality.
All members of the public who wish to speak at the Council meeting will be able to do so, whether they are present in the Chamber or whether they participate by Zoom. If present in rooms, participants should continue to wear a mask when speaking.
Council meetings will continue to be broadcast and broadcast live on the city’s YouTube channel, cable TV channels 26 or 29, the Midpen Media Center website and via Zoom as directed to the order of. day.
Hybrid / in-person meetings of all standing committees, councils and board committees – with the option of virtual attendance and participation – are expected to start in January 2022.

Staff will cross-check proof of vaccination with photo ID as part of room entry procedures.
