I wanted to do this thread to share my thoughts on why I think Crypto.com will be a Top 2 exchange going forward.

Right now, as we all know, Binance is the daddy and manages around 90% of the daily crypto traded volume – which is HUGE! And it’s crazy to think that a stock exchange has such a large share of the market. I have thought a lot about what exchanges will be successful in the future and I cannot convince myself that Crypto.com WILL NOT be one of the top 2 exchanges in the future. Definitely the top 5.

The main reason is the domain name they now own: Crypto.com.

For those who are not familiar, this exchange and this company was called Monaco until they acquired the Crypto.com domain name in 2017/2018 and renamed all of its business to Crypto.com in July 2018.

As someone who is very knowledgeable about online marketing and owns a small business that benefits from social media marketing, the implications of this deal are HUGE! The domain name was purchased for $ 17-25 million and that’s something that will make this company and this exchange stand out from all the rest! They now own the cleanest and arguably best domain and business name in the entire crypto game. And they will benefit immensely.

Merely researching Crypto will definitely bring this exchange as one of the best results, if not the best. And those who are not familiar with crypto or are just getting started with it will most likely explore this exchange. The traffic that will be brought in cannot be overstated. People will also be comfortable with an exchange literally called Crypto.com.

The second part concerns the two sponsorship agreements they signed with the UFC and Formula 1.

They also signed other sponsorship agreements with an individual Formula 1 team and an American football team! As well as other smaller sponsorship agreements.

The attention and exposure that all of this will bring to Crypto.com is going to be insane! Especially when you think of target markets. UFC has a lot of young viewers who know Crypto and want to learn more / invest. And Formula 1 as a sport has generally attracted an older audience and, in my opinion, a higher socio-economic class. I know that has changed since Netflix created Formula 1: Drive To Survive and attracted a lot of young people like me to the sport. But nonetheless, all of this exposure and limelight will get a lot of attention on Crypto.com and get a lot of new customers.

I know Crypto.com is aiming to reach 100 million customers by 2025 (and they think they can get there by 2023) and have probably started thinking and planning their next steps (200mm 300m) . I also believe that these sponsorship deals will help speed this up and attract a lot of new customers and clients. I believe owning the domain name is huge in the long run and the grand scheme of things. I believe that as long as they have a dedicated exchange and their fees and everything are as competitive as other exchanges, I strongly believe that Crypto.com will be one of the biggest exchanges going forward! As long as the crypto doesn’t fail, it’s haha.

Finally, I would like to conclude by saying that trading brings in a lot of money. And I want to profit from the future success of Crypto.com which they will achieve, I’m sure. The closest way for me to profit from all of this is by investing in their utility token: CRO. And I’ll start investing in that as soon as I have a regular paycheck.
