A mixed start to the day saw Bitcoin hit an early morning intraday high of $ 42,398.0 before reversing.
Well below the first major resistance level at $ 43,562, Bitcoin fell to an intraday low of $ 41,051.0 late in the afternoon.
While avoiding the first level of major support at $ 39,605, Bitcoin fell through the FIB by 38.2% to $ 41,592.
Moving away from levels below $ 41,000, Bitcoin briefly crossed the 38.2% FIB of $ 41,592 before a late return to levels below $ 41,500.
The short-term uptrend remained intact, supported by the latest return to levels of $ 42,000. For bears, Bitcoin would need a sustained decline through the 62% FIB of $ 27,237 to form a short-term downtrend.
The rest of the pack
In the rest of the majors, Saturday was a mixed day.
Bitcoin Cash SV fell 1.60% to lead the way, with Litecoin (-0.81%) and Ripples XRP (-0.89%) also joining Bitcoin in the red.
It was a bullish day for the rest of the majors, however.
Polkadot and Crypto.com Coin rose 8.05% and 5.10% respectively to lead the way.
Binance Coin (+ 3.12%), Chainlink (+ 1.92%) and Ethereum (+ 2.84%) also found strong support.
Cardanos ADA (+ 0.71%), however, lags behind.
During the current week, the total crypto market has fallen to a Monday low of $ 1.379 billion before hitting a Saturday high of $ 1.646 billion. At the time of writing, the total market cap was $ 1,605 billion.
Bitcoin dominance fell to a low of 47.07% on Monday before hitting a high of 49.18% on Saturday. At the time of writing this article, Bitcoin dominance stands at 48.29%.
