Crypto-metric provider Dune Analytics raises $ 8 million
Crypto data services and analytics have seen massive demand in 2021 as everyone wants to collect facts about their favorite crypto assets. Bitcoin.com News recently reported that crypto firm Messari raised $ 21 million in a funding round.
Additionally, crypto analysis firm Skew was acquired by Coinbase this year and Coin Metrics recently raised $ 15 million with Goldman Sachs leading the round. Dune Analytics is a set of data tools that users can use for free to collect information about Ethereum and decentralized financial analytics (challenge).
Last September, Dune Analytics raised $ 2 million in seed funding and on Thursday the company revealed it raised $ 8 million in a Series A. Series A was led by Fred Wilson’s Union Square Ventures. Additionally, venture capital firms such as Multicoin Capital, Redpoint Ventures, and Dragonfly have joined the Dune Analytics Series A cycle.

Dune Analytics tools offer a large number of tables and charts, but users can also create their own data tables. The web portal offers data information regarding the recent implementation of EIP1559 so that ETH users can observe metrics such as charges burned. Dune Analytics offers decentralized trading volumes (dex), non-fungible token (NFT) market data, and analytics showing the number of challenged users over time.
“At Dune Analytics, our mission is to make cryptographic data accessible. It is a mission which is becoming more and more difficult day by day, ”noted the announcement of the company’s capital increase. “Every new product, chain, and scaling solution increases the amount and fragmentation of data as it increases in adoption and throughput. Nonetheless, we are determined to achieve this mission by making every interesting metric of every crypto data source readily available to the community for free.
Dune Analytics: “Data must flow”
In addition to Dune Analytics, Skew, Coin Metrics and Messari, the Dappradar company raised $ 5 million last May. At the end of June, crypto data firm Nansen raised $ 10 million from investors.
“At Dune Analytics, we are a small team with a disproportionate impact on the future of finance and financial data,” concluded Dune founders Fredrik and Mats. “Throughout this year we have grown the Dune team to eight people across Europe. To enable convenient access to crypto data in more use cases, data sources and at scale, we are now recruiting for a range of roles. Data must flow.
