Bitcoin Daily: NOWwhere joins Launchpool Labs

[ad_1]

Launchpool Labs, the community-centric blockchain incubator, will incubate NOWwhere, a smart non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace, according to a press release on Monday, August 16.

NOWwhere uses a Netflix-style recommendation engine that indexes, rates, and ranks assets, which the company then uses to connect collectors and creators.

NOWwhere will be Launchpool Labs’ first incubator in the inaugural class, which has five startups to go live. These incubates will work with a three-month program.

Matt Hinkley, co-founder of NOWwhere, is also the former head of cryptocurrency for PwC Canada and the former CEO of Liquidus, which was a compliant digital identity integration company.

We have found in NOWwhere a very enthusiastic team, with a clear vision, great experience and a unique approach of the NFT creators by virtue of their philosophy: Launchpool Laboratories. We can’t wait to see what we can build with Matt, Drew and the NOWwhere team, during these 3 months where there are no limits to creativity. We wish them every success.

In other news, Celsius, the world’s leading cryptocurrency income and borrowing company, has opened a retail lending facility for customers in California.

The service offers a minimum claim amount of $ 500, and California customers will also have the option of receiving educational materials through the company’s credit education program offering.

Celsius ‘services allow users to take out loans instantly, thus avoiding the need for any type of proof of income or check, which can enhance users’ security to have cash on hand while allowing them to not not sell their digital assets.

With this announcement, Celsius is trying to reach more people who need fair, transparent and accessible financial services at low cost.

Our California customers have been waiting for this day and we are excited to now provide them with the best way to borrow against their crypto assets, said Aliza Landes, vice president of loans at Celsius. This is a significant milestone for Celsius as we continue to license and register in new jurisdictions and enable millions of new people to borrow better.
