Earlier this year, the TSC announced that the first technical standard to complete its rigorous standardization process and move to publication was the Merkle Standard Evidence Format, a fundamental part of the simplified payment verification model that underpins the Bitcoin scaling.

The Bitcoin SV Technical Standards Committee is a core initiative of the Bitcoin Association to professionalize development in the BSV ecosystem. We have seen that the processes implemented by the TSC are working, with the first Merkle Standard of Evidence released earlier this year and several more now making progress in the standardization process. More importantly, there has been substantial public and industry participation, a factor that will only improve with the release of the 2021-2023 roadmap. With a clear path forward for the next two years and a diverse set of priority areas, I hope the roadmap will encourage more stakeholders to get involved in the standardization process and help build the future of business. in chain with BSV.
Also commenting, Bitcoin SV Technical Standards Committee Chairman Steve Shadders said:
The publication of the 2021-2023 roadmap represents a significant achievement for the Bitcoin SV technical standards committee and the culmination of several months of work for both the committee and its members, as well as the Bitcoin SV ecosystem in his ensemble who participated in large numbers. The strength and success of the committee and more broadly of standardization as a whole rests on the adoption and contribution of industry. As we work over the next two years to achieve the ambitious agenda outlined in the roadmap, I hope this will be seen as a clear sign for both the Bitcoin SV ecosystem and the business community that Now is the time to get involved and contribute to the development and professionalization of BSV.
