Listen to this episode:

Understanding Bitcoin can change your life. Once you figure that out, your whole system of evaluating what’s worth your time, money, and effort is also changed. I discussed this idea and more with the latest addition from the Bitcoin conference team, Brad, on Twitter as @Chad_Capital.

He and I discussed how he first heard about Bitcoin, which was a result of the contagious enthusiasm many feel for Bitcoin once they figure it out. There seems to be an exuberance that begins to emerge from people once nature’s incentives align with a technological experience available to them today. He agreed and went on with his thoughts on how Bitcoin can change people’s lives. Brad has written two separate articles for us here in the magazine, one of which is titled “Bitcoin: The Ultimate Opportunity Cost”. In this article, he explains how, when he realizes the asset’s true bitcoin value, every choice one makes is an opportunity cost involving Bitcoin. Time and money are what we exchange for goods, services, and progress in the world, and every decision we make must consider how to maximize our bitcoin stack.

In addition to that, we discussed the power of memes and how they convey, through humor, commonly understood ideas of the absurdity of the fiat world we live in. A fiat world deserves to be ridiculed through memes, and it advances a culture that seeks truth.

We’re finished with what he’s eagerly awaiting in the Bitcoin space, including a cry for Bitcoin 2022, and his latest bullish price prediction.

Check out our written interview below and be sure to tune in to our interview above.

What’s your Bitcoin rabbit hole story?

The first time I heard about Bitcoin was at a bar in Los Angeles in early 2017. I heard someone talk about mining Bitcoin and showing people the price on their phone. . I asked him the question and he was very excited to talk about it. He started telling me about the halving, the hash rate, and how Bitcoin was entering a bull market. I didn’t know what he was talking about but I was interested. He gave me his number and the next day he sent me some articles and videos. From the second article, I was completely hooked.

How has Bitcoin changed your life?

Bitcoin has completely changed:

My time preference, changing personal time preference is pretty straightforward – when you know your purchasing power will increase over time, you are forced to think twice about what you buy today.

My concept of opportunity cost, for me Bitcoin is already the ultimate opportunity cost. This means that I am weighing other financial decisions against the risk of not buying bitcoin. I think mainstream finance will be forced to realize this at some point. Today, the opportunity cost or “risk free rate” of any professional investor and fund manager is treasury bills. It’s such a hilarious idea that there is risk-free investing, but it’s even funnier that the entire financial system uses the poorest performing investment as a benchmark for making decisions. We’re having a great social experience where you can choose to use bitcoin, the highest-performing asset ever, as a benchmark instead.

My critical thinking skills, I think in order to understand Bitcoin deeply, people are forced to question a lot of ideas and beliefs that they have had for a long time or that they have been told to be right. I think I was lucky to find Bitcoin in my early twenties, when I wasn’t too cemented in the ideas I had. The ability to look at things from first principles and always question my conclusions has definitely spread to other parts of life.

You wrote about hyperbitcoinization using memes for the magazine. How do you see memes as a force to drive Bitcoin adoption?

Memes are hilarious, I laugh all day scrolling Twitter. Bitcoin is the native currency of the Internet, and memes are like the native language of the Internet. Bitcoin memes are so natural, I think it’s because most of the people I apply with feel the same way, like we’re just killing time until hyperbitcoinization. Memes promote 100% adoption. A picture is worth a thousand words and I love video memes because you can say a million words in 60 seconds. It’s terrifying and hilarious the things that are memorized in reality.

What are you looking forward to the most in the Bitcoin space?

I can’t wait to see what happens in El Salvador, it’s like the proving ground to “fix the money, fix the world”. I look forward to the developments in Lightning – streaming for content, messaging, Twitter portfolios, video games, etc. I am also looking forward to receiving Michael Burry’s liquidation tweet.

Price forecast for the end of 2021, and the end of 2030?

End of 2021: $ 158,000. End of 2030: 1 bitcoin can be exchanged for around 11 million digital central bank cuck bucks, but companies stopped accepting state surveillance in 2028.
