Various agencies and companies are now striving to enter the growing crypto market in order to attract more consumers. Apart from these, different game developers and publishers are also trying to explore the world of blockchain games to win.

Crypto Watch: New Companies in the Digital Coin Market

PayPal recently announced that more consumers will soon be able to buy, sell and hold digital currencies using their virtual wallets. The giant online app would further expand its new crypto functionality to the UK, allowing residents to use their accounts to invest in popular crypto brands, such as Litecoin, Bitcoin and Ethereum.

“Tokens and coins have been around for a while, but you had to be a relatively sophisticated user to be able to access them… having that on a platform like ours is a really good entry point,” said Jose Fernandez da Ponte, PayPal’s blockchain general manager, which also manages the application segment for cryptocurrencies.

PayPal already launched its digital currency service in the United States in October 2020. Since it will also reach the United Kingdom, some experts have claimed that the app will further expand its blockchain innovation to more countries.

On the other hand, Nomura Holdings, a Japanese financial holding company, has confirmed that it has entered the blockchain community through the sale of cryptocurrency. Specifically, the agency said it would allow consumers to exchange their digital currencies for pizza, pasta and other types of dishes.

The good thing is that those interested could taste the dishes prepared by award-winning Japanese chef Masayuki Okuda.

Other Blockchain games could be coming!

As cryptocurrencies gain in value, publishers and game developers want to take advantage of the growing crypto market by creating new blockchain or NFT titles to be won.

EA Sports said it is looking for a senior manager and software engineers to help the company explore fantasy sports, NFTs, and blockchain.
