New NFTs are on the NFT Basic.Space market. One of them is in the running for the raffle while the other is currently worth $ 200,000 after being won in a raffle. A portion of the sales from these NFTs are donated to Athletes For Hope to help with mental health awareness and support.
The tennis star revealed her newfound interest in investing in an interview with Bloomberg where she said the hype around Dogecoin was partly responsible for her focus on the cryptocurrency space.
“I was actually just talking with my cryptocurrency agent. I know everything online is getting bigger. I remember reading about Dogecoin… there is going to be something new and interesting that is going to pop up. “Osaka said.
The 23-year-old tennis player has already invested in several companies, including the salad chain Sweetgreen and the professional women’s football team North Carolina Courage.
“As athletes our career isn’t that long, so I just like to be really smart about it. I like when my agent tells me there are opportunities. And in a weird way, I like to fail a bit because it makes you realize what went wrong and why, ”Osaka said of the investment.
Osaka has yet to claim to have invested in Dogecoin or any other cryptocurrency, although she and her agent appear to be keeping an eye on the crypto market and industry for any opportunities that may arise.
