Ethereum and XRP rise in value

Ethereum and Ripple have both seen big gains over the past 24 hours, while the other major cryptocurrencies have been relatively stagnant.

At the time of writing (7am UK), ETH, the world’s second most valuable crypto and a token for the Ethereum smart contract blockchain, has passed $ 3,500 after jumping 9% and is 10 % more than its price last Wednesday.

Ripples XRP coin gained over 7%, or the equivalent of 8 cents, to hit $ 1.20. It is up 3% over seven days and investors are hoping it can return to the $ 1.30 level it hit a few weeks ago.

The market leader Bitcoin (BTC) is at $ 47,400 after gaining half a percentage point in the past 24 hours. It is down 2% over seven days.

The Cardanos ADA token, which climbed 23c over the holiday weekend, was not budged from its Tuesday morning price of $ 2.78. The Proof-of-Stake blockchain platform, which has moved up to third in the ratings ranking in recent weeks, is also where it was a week ago.

Why could Cardano reach an all-time high in September?

Binance Coin (BNB) fell 1% to $ 469 after falling over the extended weekend. It is down 4% in one week.

Meme Dogecoin (DOGE) coin is around 28c after rising 2% and is up 5% over seven days.

Revain (REV) and Kusama (KSM) were the big winners, each climbing about 25%. The first more than doubled its valuation compared to last Wednesday.

Fantom (FTM) had the worst performance among the top 100 pieces, losing 12%, but is up 43% in one week.

The cryptocurrency market has climbed 2.1% in the past 24 hours, with the 11,500 coins collectively valued at $ 2.11 trillion.
