Franklin Templeton seeks to hire crypto trader and research analyst

Multinational investment giant Franklin Templeton Franklin Resources, Inc. (NYSE: BEN) appears to be taking the crypto space seriously.

What happened: A job posting on LinkedIn on Thursday revealed that the asset manager was looking to hire a cryptocurrency trader and cryptocurrency research analyst to continue his efforts to create a new investment unit around the emerging asset class.

We are looking for a Crypto Currency Trader to execute trades for multiple strategies using the largest, most liquid and most liquid listed and tradable crypto assets, said Franklin Templeton, citing Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) and Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) as examples.

The trader will also be responsible for developing and maintaining quantitative valuation models and building relationships with each community of user, developer, trader, and DAO protocols.

Meanwhile, Franklins’ crypto research analyst will conduct fundamental research coverage on the largest and most liquid crypto assets and contribute to their factor analysis.

Why it matters: Franklin Templeton is one of the largest asset managers in the world with more than $ 1.4 trillion in assets under management and assets under management that until recently exceeded market capitalization of the entire crypto industry.
