MUMBAI: Crypto trading and exchange platform CoinSwitch Kuber has become the country’s largest crypto asset platform after onboarding more than 10 million users, the company said in a press release.

CoinSwitch Kuber has passed the milestone in just 15 months since it began operations in India in June 2020, a testament to the simplicity and convenience the platform offers its users, the company said.

Of the 10 million users of its platform, around seven million are active users with a monthly trading volume of Rs 15,138 crore.

The increase in the number of CoinSwitch Kuber users also reflects the growing acceptance of crypto investments in India despite the uncertainty surrounding government regulations. India, along with Vietnam, has seen the biggest increase in crypto adoption in the world in the past year.

India is currently considering a ban on all private cryptocurrencies through a cryptocurrency bill that will also see the Reserve Bank of India issue a central bank digital currency.
