Bitcoin, BTC to USD, fell 3.33% on Friday. Reversing a 0.73% gain from Thursday, Bitcoin ended the day at $ 44,852.0.

A mixed start to the day saw Bitcoin hit an early morning intraday high of $ 47,044.0 before reversing.

Below the first major resistance level at $ 47,343, Bitcoin slipped to an intraday low of $ 44,155.0.

Bitcoin broke through the first major support level at $ 45,491 and the second major support level at $ 44,592

Finding late support, however, Bitcoin broke through the second major support level to end the day at $ 44,800.

The short-term uptrend has remained intact, despite the latest return to levels of $ 43,000. For bears, Bitcoin would need a sustained decline through 62% FIB from $ 27,237 to form a short-term downtrend.

The rest of the pack

In the rest of the majors, it was a mixed day on Friday

Polkadot rose 1.17% to reverse the trend for the day.

It was, however, a bearish day for the rest of the majors.

Ethereum slipped 6.26% to lead the way.

Binance Coin (-4.70%), Bitcoin Cash SV (-4.08%), Cardanos ADA (-5.29%), Chainlink (-5.70%) and Crypto.com Coin (-4.92% ) were not far behind.

However, Litecoin (-3.49%) and Ripples XRP (-3.09%) also struggled.

During the current week, the total crypto market peaked at $ 2.438 billion on Tuesday before dropping to a low on Tuesday of $ 1.835 billion. At the time of writing, the total market cap was $ 2.070 billion.

Bitcoin dominance peaked at 43.64% on Tuesday before falling to a low of 39.92% on Friday. At the time of writing this article, Bitcoin dominance stands at 41.04%.

This morning

As of this writing, Bitcoin was up 0.62% to $ 45,132.0. A mixed start to the day saw Bitcoin drop to an early morning low of $ 44,750.0 before hitting a high of $ 45,169.0.

Bitcoin left major support and resistance levels untested early on.

Elsewhere, it was a mixed start to the day.

Crypto.com Coin and Polkadot held up to the initial trend, with losses of 1.41% and 0.88% respectively.

It was a bullish start for the rest of the majors, however.

The story continues

As of this writing, Ethereum was up 1.00% to lead the way.

For Bitcoin Day Ahead

Bitcoin is expected to break through the $ 45,350 pivot to bring into play the first major resistance level at $ 46,546.

Broad market support would be needed for Bitcoin to return to levels of $ 46,000.

Barring a full scale crypto rally, the first major resistance level and Friday’s $ 47,044.0 high would likely cap the upside.

In the event of a large-scale crypto rally, Bitcoin could test resistance at $ 50,000 before any pullbacks. The second major resistance level is located at $ 48,239.

If you fail to break through the pivot at $ 45,350, the first major support level at $ 43,657 would come into play.

Unless another extended sell off that day, Bitcoin is expected to avoid the 38.2% FIB of $ 41,592. The second major support level at $ 42,461 should limit the decline.
