Valor expands its crypto ETP range with the launch of Solana

Solana de Volour’s launch follows its cardano and polkadot ETP list earlier this year

Swiss digital asset issuer Valor has expanded its range of exchange traded products (ETP) with the launch of a solana ETP.

The SEK Valor Solana (SOL) ETP is expected to be listed on the Nordic Growth Market on September 16.

The ETP will track the performance of the crypto asset, the seventh largest blockchain-backed cryptocurrency, with a market cap of $ 50.2 billion, as of September 14.

Valor said investors will be able to gain exposure to the native solanas ecosystem cryptocurrency through their bank or broker, as the issuer seeks to make digital assets more accessible through mainstream channels.

The coin is an open source project that uses blockchain technology and a proof-of-history consensus to deliver decentralized financial solutions.

Initially launched in Geneva in March 2020, a key selling point for solana is its short processing times for smart contract transactions and executions.

In May, Valor followed its competitors by launching the Valor Cardano SEK ETP and the Valor Polkadot SEK ETP.

It follows the launch of the very first solana ETP by 21Shares in June, listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange and the multilateral trading platforms in Stuttgart and Düsseldorf.

Earlier this month, Valor hired Frances Edwards as COO of BlackRock as the company, which launched in December 2020, seeks to expand beyond the Nordic countries and into other European markets.
