A new club is being formed in the valley to discuss all things cryptocurrency. Whether you are a crypto enthusiast, or have no previous industry experience looking to gain a better understanding of Bitcoin, cryptocurrency, and non-fungible tokens, the Vail Valley Crypto Club is the place for you. .
Dylan Bradley, a local marketing consultant who divides his time between Denver and the Valley, is the founder of the Vail Valley Crypto Club. Bradley began learning about cryptocurrency during the pandemic last year and now plans to start his own crypto company in the near future.
“This is something I had heard about so many times over the years and always ignored it, because I was too busy or too focused on something else, or I thought it was a scam and so on, Bradley said. During the pandemic, I finally took the time to learn more, and the more I learned, the more intrigued I became.
As he deepened his own research, Bradley began to search the valley for ways to connect with others who were entering the crypto space. Not finding groups or clubs dedicated to the subject, he decides to create one himself.
One of the biggest hurdles in crypto is the educational component, Bradley said. It can be very overwhelming for someone who is new to this field, and so the more educational avenues there are, the more people can understand it, the more people will be able to see the potential for growth and navigate it. space, the less fear and uncertainty they will have.
The inaugural meeting of the Vail Valley Crypto Club will be held Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the 10th Mountain Whiskey & Spirits in Vail Village. Tickets for the event cost $ 25 per person, which includes founders level membership, a printed copy of “The Bitcoin Standard” and a drink.

Bradley plans to hold club meetings once a month, and eventually increase to once every two weeks depending on the interest of attendees. The first meeting will go over the basics of crypto for anyone new to the space and set a roadmap for the club’s future.
Bradley hopes that by creating a physical club that facilitates personal connections and interactions, it will help transform the often abstract world of cryptocurrency into a more tangible and accessible form.
“You can find just about anything on the internet, but it helps tie things to the real world and meet people face to face who have experience,” Bradley said. It also helps with confidence, because when you physically meet people and become their peers, it can give you a lot more confidence that what you are watching is not something weird that only exists on the internet, but which actually exists. in real life.”
The club will also be looking at non-fungible tokens, and each participant will receive a unique NFT at the Vail Valley Crypto Club.
“What this allows you to do is symbolize different elements of club membership and then offer special rewards and incentives to people who hold those NFTs,” Bradley said. as the club grows, members have all of these membership badges, and we hope to be able to partner with local businesses so that there may be some added utility to holding this membership token in the future. .
Engaging local businesses in cryptocurrency is another of Bradley’s goals for the club.
“One of my goals is not only to bring people together to talk about crypto, but also to educate companies on how they can use the growing crypto industry, how they can accept payments. , how they can use it to attract more customers, or provide another unique experience for their customers, Bradley said. Who knows, maybe the valley can turn into a crypto-valley. With the number of people entering and get out of here, to make it a warm and welcoming place for crypto as well, I think that would be pretty neat.
Tickets are available online on Eventbrite under the event title Vail Valley Crypto Club or can be purchased at the door in cash or (of course) in cryptocurrency.
