Crypto is having a big time right now, but a new study reveals that women could be left behind.

On Tuesday, crypto-asset service provider BlockFi released its first Real Talk: Women x Crypto poll, which surveyed 1,023 American women between the ages of 18 and 65. The survey shows that a gender gap may already exist within the asset class, with just 9% of women saying they feel they understand cryptocurrency. Even more alarmingly, the survey found that the gender gap in crypto could be much larger than in other asset classes.

BlockFis research shows the gender gap in cryptocurrency exceeds similar gaps in traditional investments, such as stocks, exchange-traded funds, mutual funds or real estate, the release said. Press.
