This new crypto asset soars after gaining surprise support from Coinbase

A new altcoin launched earlier this month is in full swing after receiving surprise support from Coinbase.

Adventure Gold (AGLD), which is the native crypto asset of the open source Loot Project, is now available on Coinbase Pro.

The project released “Loot Bag” non-fungible tokens (NFTs) which are essentially text files containing eight sentences, such as “Short Sword”, “Plated Belt” and “Titanium Ring”.

These phrases are designed to become virtual “building blocks” for a video game that is yet to be released, and anyone with a bag of loot can claim 10,000 AGLDs which will also become in-game currency.

Coinbase says,

“Adventure Gold is an Ethereum [ETH] token that was dumped on Loot Project NFT owners. Loot is a project that generated random adventure material stored on the chain that can be used as the basis for games built in the future.

AGLD can potentially be used as in-game currency for games and similar projects possibly built on top of Project Loot. “

The price of the crypto asset was around $ 2.91 just before Coinbase’s announcement, which catapulted the altcoin to $ 4.29, according to CoinGecko.

The AGLD listing is the latest in a series of altcoins added to the Coinbase platform in recent weeks.

CEO Brian Armstrong said this summer that the exchange is working to list as many altcoins as possible.
