A large number of Japanese cryptocurrency investors have not paid taxes this year. Traders have taken advantage of the incredible Cardano price rally this year, but many have dodged taxes. Japanese officials said there was $ 6 million in underreported taxes.
Japan is starting to tighten tax procedures in cryptocurrencies as individuals reportedly did not pay taxes on cryptocurrencies, especially those who profited from Cardano Trading (ADA).
Japan attacks Cardano traders
Japan’s tax authorities are increasingly monitoring the tax treatment of digital assets after the country found that a total of 1.4 billion yen was missing following a large-scale tax audit.
According to the Japanese outlet Nikkei report, individuals have increasingly used cryptocurrency investing as a “tax saving measure” because the new asset class is a legal gray area.
A person responsible for the investigation noted that cities like Saitama, Tochigi, Gunma, Nigata and Nagano have benefited from trading in ADA, the native cryptocurrency of the Cardano blockchain. Authorities said there was $ 6 million in underreported taxes.
Investors who bought and sold ADA did not report profits or pay taxes with deceitful means.
Cardano, known as the Ethereum killer, is also known as “Japanese Ethereum” in the country, as more than 90% of participants in ADA’s initial coin offering (ICO) were from Japan.
So far, the country’s tax offices have conducted six digital asset audits, with Japan’s Kanto region monitoring ADA transactions for several years.
A tax accountant in Japan has revealed that many people were able to profit from the surge in ADA prices in 2021, as Cardano has grown by more than 1,100% this year.
Cardano price to retest $ 2 before next step
Cardano’s price has formed a symmetrical triangular pattern on the 4-hour chart as the Ethereum killer continues to consolidate.
Cardano’s price appears to be approaching the 23.6% Fibonacci retracement level at $ 2.19, where the 50 four-hour simple moving average (SMA) is located. This support level appears as the last line of recourse for ADA before the bears gain the upper hand, which could see the altcoin dip towards the lower edge of the triangle at $ 2.08.
However, the downtrend line of the dominant chart pattern would provide strong support for the ADA. If the bulls step in at this point, the price of Cardano would likely continue to rebound in the technical pattern before hinting at future directional indices.
4 hour chart ADA / USDT
If a spike in buying pressure were to materialize, Cardano’s price would discover resistance at the October 3 high at $ 2.32 before finally marking the upper bound of the triangular pattern at $ 2.34. Further obstacles may appear at the 38.2% and 50% Fibonacci retracement levels, at $ 2.36 and $ 2.50, respectively.
