On Saturday October 9, popular macroeconomist and crypto analyst Alex Krger explained one of the main reasons for the popularity of the native Cardanos $ ADA token with new retail investors entering the crypto market.
Krger tweeted:
I just met an old friend of mine who just got into crypto.
His first play?
You bet, $ ADA. Because of a podcast. Newcomers always opt for $ ADA. Simply extraordinary.

And when a commentator questioned the reason for this phenomenon, Krger replied that he believed Cardano’s huge popularity with newcomers was due to the YouTube channel of Charles Hoskinson, co-founder and CEO of IOHK (alias IOG), the R&D company of Cardanos:
There’s no denying that it’s hard to think of the head of any other project in the crypto space as passionate or energetic as Hoskinson, who provides regular updates on his YouTube channel. For example, here’s an Ask Me Anything session from September 19:
On September 29, days after the two-day Cardano Summit 2021 ended, Hoskinson announced a well-deserved two-week social media hiatus:
Now that the summit is over and Alonzo has shipped, I’m taking two weeks off. No social media, no business, just go to my ranch and relax. See everyone for the Africa tour pic.twitter.com/FWKoWtWOrn

In addition, earlier today, Sébastien Guillemot, CTO at dcSpark, as well as the former co-VP of Eng. & Cardano PM at EMURGO, said many companies are getting in touch to express interest in using his company’s new sidechain project (named Milkomeda), which will run EVM-enabled smart contracts from the Cardano mainnet.
Do you want to allow Solidity developers to also deploy on Cardano? $ ADA
Many companies are contacting us to use the deployment of Milkomeda on Cardano, and this is only possible with your support.
