The story continues
“Our verification processes continue to reflect the evolution of the crypto space. The increase in the benchmark asset list is in large part due to an expansion of asset listings on verified exchanges, which in turn are the direct result of rising prices and community interest, especially in alt coins, ”said Doug Schwenk, CEO of DAR.
The trade verification process combines traditional quantitative and qualitative due diligence to identify exchanges reporting precise volumes and eliminate exchanges that are not suitable for determining an accurate market price. During the asset verification process, digital assets traded on verified exchanges are assessed to determine if they meet institutional investor standards for code base construction and maintenance, community, security, liquidity. and regulatory compliance.
The results of the Exchange Vetting and Asset Vetting processes are used by DAR clients to determine accurate asset prices and to identify safe places in the market. The results are also used for the recently launched DAR Sector Indices, FTSE Bitcoin Index, FTSE Ethereum Index and FTSE Cardano Index, as well as the FTSE DAR benchmark price, a robust hourly benchmark price for performance. of the digital asset market.
DAR’s data, pricing methodology and asset taxonomy classifications are also used in the Bloomberg Galaxy DeFi Index.
The DAR performs its audit processes on a quarterly basis. The next results will be announced in January 2021.
