Apparently, Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB star Tom Brady just enriched fan Byron Kennedy with 1 Bitcoin as an extra payment for his 600th TD Ball. Kennedy was the lucky fan who got his hands on Brady’s all-important ball on Sunday when WR Mike Evans accidentally handed it to him right after the play. And now he’s paid.
A lot of people stepped in, saying Kennedy should have kept the ball instead and just kept it, but the fan was kind enough to return the ball to Tom Brady. It’s not easy to turn down a request from a seven-time Super Bowl champion, but it looks like it’s well worth it.
Aside from all the freebies he was originally promised in return, the Bucs star admitted to adding an extra gift to the Buccaneers fan that could potentially be more valuable down the line. According to reporter Jeff Eisenband, Brady told Peyton and Eli Manning that he gave Kennedy 1 Bitcoin which is worth around $ 63,000 at the moment.

It turns out to be quite a deal for the 29-year-old Buccaneers fan.
Aside from a ton of Bucs memorabilia and potentially a round of golf with Brady, Kennedy got lucky and received the biggest cryptocurrency on the market. At the time of writing, Bitcoin (BTC) has the largest market cap in the entire crypto space with a whopping $ 1.1 trillion. BTC has been rising all year, and last week it hit an all-time high of almost $ 67,000.
For context, 1 BTC was only equivalent to around $ 13,000 in October 2020, further proving that this deal was well worth it for Byron Kennedy.
