UK Giftchill Adds Crypto Gift Cards To Its Site

Online gift card retailer GiftChill has revamped its website and added new options for customers to purchase gift cards online with cryptocurrency, according to a press release on Tuesday, November 9.

The new site will allow users to browse “hundreds” of featured virtual gift cards for different countries, order them online and view reviews.

Based in the UK, GiftChill will accept bitcoin, ethereum, dogecoin, bitcoin cash, litecoin and USD coin (USDC), allowing users to enter only “bare minimum” information when making a call. purchase and payment via Coinbase.

Although users are required to register with the site, they can start ordering cards almost immediately after registering.

The version notes that after purchasing online, customers should be able to get an instant gift card code delivered to their email address, along with instructions on how to use them.

Plus, because the company doesn’t have to integrate with credit card companies or PayPal, GiftChill is able to lower overhead costs, which the release said will pass the savings on to customers.

PYMNTS reports that vacation spending is approaching, with reports predicting greater use of e-commerce this year, as has been the trend since the start of the pandemic.

According to the report, 90% of customers plan to buy online this year, which is a 13% increase from last year.
